Toravon is the latest boss to appear within the Vault of Archavon, however we're not quite sure if he is the last of the VoA bosses to be seen in this expansion. The boss is fairly simple conceptually, but don't take him too lightly. I'll walk you through what you need to know to get score some sweet tier 10 PvE gear and equivilent PvP gear.

Icecrown Citadel Heroic Mode Progress
Heroic Modes are now available in Europe and America and guilds are working hard to get their first kills! So far 5 guilds seems to have a few more kills than the others and defeated all the bosses who aren't part of the limited attempts count (Putricide / Blood Queen Lana'thel / Sindragosa / The Lich King) :

However, at this point the most succesful guild is Paragon, they defeated Blood Queen Lanathel in heroic mode and are the only guild so far that managed to kill a limited try boss. Congratulations to them.

Fox Van Allen takes over Spiritual Guidance every Wednesday, preaching the path of darkness and smearing the good and holy name of the priest class. He also mind controls and spreads diseases to not-so-innocent altar boys.

I never got a chance to run Molten Core when Molten Core was relevant. I didn't participate in the redemption of the Blood Elves when such a thing was fashionable to do. But now, with an end-game ready level 80 shadow priest at my disposal, I'm ready to take down The Lich King once and for all.

Just in case we weren't completely sure of it yet, Activision Blizzard confirmed in today's quarterly earnings call that World of Warcraft: Cataclysm will be released in 2010. For general Blizzard fans, another game was given a 2010 release date: StarCraft II, which will begin its beta phase within a month. As was pointed out during the conference call, it has been twelve years since Blizzard released two major titles in the same calendar year.

Two Bosses Enter ... but only One Boss Leaves, in WoW.com's series of fantasy death matches. We're moving from the quarter-finals into the semi-finals of the Original Five-Man Wrath of the Lich King season. Grab a seat, and let's get ready to rumble!

Anub'Arak scuttled King Ymiron and his longboats last week, 60.8% to 35.9%, to advance to this week's season finale of the Original Wrath Five-Man season of Two Bosses Enter. In the highly anticipated finals, Anub'Arak will burrow into the Thunderdome to face the dreaded Ley-Guardian Eregos. If you've never participated in a Two Boss Enters match before, please be sure to read the Thunderdome ground rules before casting your vote. Visit the comments first to get as broad a view of the match as possible before deciding whose pennant you'll be waving in the stands.

Blizzard appears to be trying to make it easier for everyone to have an Authenticator and to that end, there is now a Mobile Authenticator for Android. The Android version works just like the iPhone/iTouch app and is available at the Android App store (you can view it via a third party site). Once you get it on your phone, you then link it to your account at the official World of Warcraft Account Management page. We have reports of the app working for people.

This is brilliant. Two new plush pets are coming soon to the Blizzard Store: The Wind Rider Cub and the Gryphon Hatchling. As adorable as these toys are, they have one more thing which will make them a mandatory purchase for any pet collector. They include a code for a version of them in-game.

EmberIsolte and RavenSylpheG are certainly a winning combination. They've released an updated version of Shut Up and Grind. EmberIsolte's first version of this song came around in the summer, and it looks like RavenSylpheG has busted out a new video for the piece. She says it took her a while, so she may very well have been working on the video since the song's original release.

EmberIsolte nails the vocals wonderfully, which has more or less become what we expect from her. RavenSylpheG continues to do an amazing job with the machinima, creating a very distinctive, pleasing music video for the song. I think these two come together incredibly well in their work, and the styles match up perfectly. The video itself has the right kind of pop-fun feel to compliment Shut Up and Grind's irreverent lyrics.

Every Wednesday, Chase Christian of Encrypted Text invites you to enter the world of shadows, as we explore the secrets and mechanics of the Rogue class. This week, we discuss some of the tips and tricks to remember when raiding Icecrown Citadel's fourth wing, Frostwing Halls.

Dragons. We've been hunting these flying lizards for years immemorable. From the first slain whelp of our rogue infancy to the most powerful reptiles in the land, we've made our bones by assassinating these majestic reptiles wherever we can find them. No phase in WoW was complete without a dragon (or several) to take out, and Northrend is no different. We've faced a variety of dragons already: black, blue, undead, and more. Our axes are strong enough to tear through their scales, while our daggers are adept enough to slide between their armored hides.

Unsure of what else to do in aquatic form, night elf druid Easystreet of Lightning's Blade has taken to hanging out under Darnassus's bridges and demanding payment from all who cross. Too bad that there aren't a lot of people in Darnassus, and the few who hang out there are generally under level 20 and flat broke. Maybe Easystreet should go harass the goblin guards in Ratchet instead.

In the next installment of our guest post program, WoW.com welcomes Kelly Krehbiel. Kelly plays as Galestrom, a Night Elf Hunter on the Turalyon realm. A proud member of <The Elders of Turalyon>, he's been playing the game for a little over a year. "The coolest thing to me, is really having fun with this game." His guild makes it simple, he says. "They're some of the most helpful and knowledgeable people I know, and they really make it easy to have a blast." In From Manners to Mechanics -- Five tips for DPS in heroics, Kelly explores how you can be at the top of your game during your random heroic dungeon runs.

It's a known fact that we DPS are a dime a dozen. If we leave an instance (or are kicked), another waiting DPS immediately steps in and the fight goes on. For us, things are a little different. We're waiting several minutes to run heroics, hoping to close out our dailies before the 'Enter Dungeon' button finally arrives.

Breakfast Topic: What do you do after raids?

Matt Low wrote on 10th February 8am

Raiding can be serious business. As a GM of my own guild, what happens after raids can be just as important as what happens during raids. The first thing I do is hit the blacksmith and make sure all my gear is repaired for the next day. As an enchanter, I need to ensure that the new gear that drops in the raid is enchanted. The benefit of the new random dungeon system? We have surplus enchanting materials. It is all handed out free of charge usually. If we have the gems, we'll provide those in addition to whatever consumables we have as required.
