As players begin to discover the many Secrets of Ulduar in patch 3.1, the Argent Crusade invites Azeroth’s bravest heroes to prove their worth in the Argent Tournament. In preparation for a fatal blow against the Lich King and his Scourge, the Argent Crusade will be hosting competitive games, giving players another chance to build reputation with the capital cities of the Horde and Alliance. The most battle-hardened contestants will have access to a host of enticing items as the Argent Crusade begins construction on the Coliseum, where valorous battles testing the might of all challengers are to come. Let the games begin!

Q u o t e:
5 tokens per day is lame.
Why force us to wait 3 days worth of dailies before continuing? I want to participate, but your stupid cockblock won't let me.
You must show your dedication to the cause and regularly return.

Q u o t e:
Any comment on the fact that quest givers are killable by opposing faction players in a manner where they are never selectable for quest acceptance/turn in? Seems kinda pointless to try this event when the quest givers are alive less than 1 minute out of 60.
This does not sound like intended game play.

Q u o t e:
i grinded to exalted with undercity cause i really want one of those sweet white horses from the argent tournament, but the npc still says "Away with you, death knight!" are we not supposed to be able to buy from the other quartermasters or is it a glitch or do i have to do some quests first when they are unlocked?
You must become a champion through the Argent Tournament to have access to the quartermasters for each respective city. Initially you will become a champion of your home city, then you can choose whichever one to do next. If you want them all you will have to do this process for each city.

Q u o t e:
Either make the area not a sanctuary so we can kill said players that attack quest givers or make so they can't attack quest givers please. It is really getting annoying to wait for respawn only to have someone pull the quest giver again.
On Blackrock this has been going on for hours and hours....
A hotfix went through last night that should make the NPCs un-attackable.

Q u o t e:
I must say that the event as a whole, has proven to be very enjoyable thus far, however, a bad taste was left in my mouth over one thing.
The Argent Hippogryph. The previews of this mount set my heart to racing and put butterflies in my stomache. It was a beautiful thing. So beautiful that I made the push to 80 from where I had been sitting comfortably at 72 purely to be able to participate in this event and acquire said mount.
Imagine my surprise when I arrived at the Tournament grounds and found the Argent Crusade riding brown Hippogryphs from Azshara. My disbelief and anger level rose when I found the prized Argent Hippogryph in a stable with Silver Covenant stamped on it. Informational sites have confirmed that the beautiful Argent Hippogryph model and skin was changed out for the -yawn- drab thing we have to look at now.
My question is: Why was this mount changed out for something that more closely resembles a what-if Timbermaw Furbolg rep mount? The brown and dappled white Hippogryph cannot compare to the original color scheme for sheer appropriateness when you consider who is selling it. It is the *Argent* Crusade. Argent = Silver. And the original definitely looked like something a Paladin would ride. This shabby replacement suits hunters and druids just fine; why can't both models/skins be offered as mounts in the event? Wouldn't that please more people?
And in the event that the former Argent Hippogryph is offered as an Alliance only mount through Silver Covenant Rep, after I overcome my sense of nausea, I would ask if we're going to see something greatly improved beyond the sad, silly, overexposed and poorly modelled Sunreaver Dragonhawk?
I apologize if the post is crass or abrasive, but this change completely blindsided me, and it was something I and several others had our hearts set on in the weeks prior to 3.1's release.
This was never changed, in truth. The Argent Hippogryph was always the brown and white one, even on the PTR. I do happen to know a few fansites mistakenly posted a screenshot of the Silver Covenant hippogryph (which is situated by the Sunreaver Dragonhawk) when speaking about the Argent Hippogryph, and that may be where your expectations came from, but this was not some bait-and-switch change we did.

This really isn't the place to discuss mount aesthetics that don't apply to the Argent Tournament, as those two do not. You're welcome to bring it up on the Suggestion Forum, however.
Concerning the Argent Tournament hippogryph's choice of colors, it was actually a reasoned choice. While I am very much aware of the meaning of the word "argent," the Argent Crusade's colors are not only white/silver (argent) but gold as secondary and black as tertiary colors. With that in mind, the combination of the white and warm brown of the chosen hippogryph is indeed fitting for the faction in question. In addition, the white-blue hippogryph was already in use in the Silver Covenant area in Crystalsong Forest.

Q u o t e:
All I want to know is if this event is staying or not. If this event is something they are going to remove eventually, then I want to know so I can get some goodies out of it on my Death Knight.
If its sticking around, then I'll simply go level one of my lower leveled characters, because personally, I dont much like my Death Knight anymore. Sure he's cool, but I dont feel the same pride of having a level 80 DK as I would a level 80 (insert any other class name here)
So Please Blizzard, somebody, ANYBODY, tell me if this event is around to stay, or if I Should use it while its there.
The Argent Tournament isn't going anywhere.
